Once again I was browsin’ ’round the vicious candyland called the world wide web for a laugh because my co-workers just weren’t cutting it. I mean I made them laugh, why can’t I get something funny in return…? Not to worry though because I stumbled upon this some sweet Karmel. Ian that is. I found out about him from Conan of course. When a guy does great on a late night show spot it’s always good to see. Many comics have said it’s hard to get the crowd on your side in such a short period of time, but Ian didn’t seem to have a problem with it in these spots. Earlier this month Ian released his debut comedy album “9.2 on Pitchfork” which you can get on Amazon Mp3, or get in on cd or even Vinyl here! I love vinyl. Apparently he lived with the one and only Ron Funches who plays a role in this clip from Conan. There is a part 1 and 2.
Here is a hilarious bit from his new special:
I like this guy a lot. It looks like his only listed shows are in Portland. I do find it pretty awesome though that a music label is putting out comedian records: Kill Rock Stars!
Dave Attell’s newest special has been available on Netflix for over two months! Check that S*** out! You can go to his website www.daveattell.com to check out some clips. Also if you are in or near one of these places, go see him!
Dave is now 50, and has been an active comic since 1988!
Here’s a Comedy Central half hour special from 1996.
Dave has a wild style that is unique to him, here’s some standup from 1999, there’s a couple similarities.
Here’s a recent Conan Clip, Attell Looks good!
If you are lucky enough to be able to afford real TV and can watch Comedy Central, you might have caught Dave hosting “Comedy Underground” an uncensored multiple comic stand up show. If you’re like me you have to just watch clips from the show. So you can do that here.
Jordan Schlansky is a curious character. That’s just the thing though, a character, maybe. Nobody is real sure if he is really being himself when he is on camera with Conan O’ Brien, or if he is simply playing a character. It is kind of hard to tell because there are people like him in the real world. Silent, confident, and mildly arrogant, Jordan brings joy to many who watch the Conan segments he stars in. Usually not wanting to be on camera at all. Here’s a couple of hilarious examples:
In this segment Conan confronts Jordan about spending company money on an expensive espresso machine.
Conan noticed how unorganized Jordan was and makes him clean his office:
There’s a ton of websites that you can get on and waste more time than you should be wasting while you’re at work. This post will be about a couple of those. These particular sites are kind of “For the People, by the People” sites. Damnyouautocorrect.com and tindernightmares on Instagram are basically byproducts of modern communication, that can be recycled into a channel of humor. Modern communication and social media can be used for many many good things. These are just a couple ridiculous things they can be used for. Also beware, these are clean but they can get dirty!
Back when this first came about I spent a lot of time clicking through these so watch out it can get addicting. A lot of times you can use a search engine to find the best ones in compilation pages that people have taken the time to make, so if you want the quick version just go somewhere like this.
Tinder which is at www.gotinder.com, is supposed to just be a simple application you can download to your phone and immediately start using to meet people in your area to hang out. But it has quickly become widely known as a place where tons and tons of dudes try to get laid, which has sparked some funny things in the comedy world such as Conan O’ Brien‘s summer skit with a young actor. Conan and Dave Franco joined tinder and actually went to meet people that they were matched with, and they do it in a really great van which is just the cherry on top. Classic.
So you can see how Tinder meetings could go bad in a non-Conan world. That’s what tinder nightmares is all about:
