A freeform Friday night drunk talk show.

You Up? is Denver's freeform late night talk show. After a night of hilarious, artistically-crafted improv at the Voodoo Comedy Playhouse, entropy takes the stage. The tech intern becomes the host and the audience becomes part of the cast. Inclusivity and democracy are observed, drinking is encouraged, but the only actual rule is to pursue the provocative and keep the night rolling. Join Mike and TJ deep in the Voodoo cave on a Friday nights for comedic spillunkery and discombobulated drunkery. The only question to ask yourself is...You Up?

Host Mike Schwanke (Voodoo tech guy, amateur human being) and cohost TJ Clancy (notable tall person) are joined by a rotating cast of Voodoo improvisers and special guests appearing on stage to babble about everything and nothing. Each week we'll interview a local comedian or Denver creative, investigating the midnight questions that plague us all; such as "When does bread become toast?" "Is human consciousness a mathematical composition?" and "What's your favorite time of day to poop?" The show also presents numerous opportunities for the audience to ask questions, participate in discussions, and play comedically-spun drinking games on stage. Critical Would You Rather (where there is a definitive right and wrong answer), Tease or Trailer (players compete to give the most accurate synopsis for an obscure movie title), and Existential Screw, Marry, Kill (ex. Bill Clinton, Air Bud, Middle School Dances) are just a few examples of the games that are played. Prizes are given away to game winners and random audience members.
