Voodoo Comedy's Performance Policy & Procedure The following policies and procedures apply to all performers, and other individuals, associated with any show at Voodoo Comedy. It is the show Producer’s responsibility to make certain that all members of any performance group are fully aware of, and adhere to, all of the following policies: 1. All show personnel and performers should arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to show time. The group producer should check in with the House Manager upon entry. 2. Opening performers will be provided a 10 minute and 1 minute warning until curtain. At the 10 minute warning they will be escorted to the Backstage area by Voodoo Comedy staff. 3. Show producers are expected to check the voodoocomedy.com show calendar, to verify correct show time and ticket price. Any discrepancies should be brought to the attention of email@example.com ASAP. 4. Voodoo Comedy encourages attendance from theatrical agents, reviewers, and those involved in the booking segment of the entertainment industry. Show personnel should notify the Artistic Director at least 24 hours before show time, so that we may include the names of those individuals who plan to attend your show, on our industry comp list. 5. Comps may be available. Contact theater for the comp policy as it pertains to your show. Comps are handled on a show by show basis. 6. Discounts on non-alcoholic beverages are provided to show personnel who identify themselves at time of purchase. 7. No drugs or alcohol can be brought into Voodoo Comedy, or consumed in the back hallway. Outside food & beverages are to be consumed and properly disposed of before coming into the theater. 8. Voodoo Comedy will provide a House Manager and staff for all evening performances. The House Manager is responsible for theater oversight and all box office responsibilities. Final authority for all decisions made on performance night is delegated to the House Manager. Staff will help seat audience members, host shows as needed, and run the basic tech needs. Any show requiring more advanced tech, including video, additional light or sound cues which require more practice time, should contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. 9. Show personnel are expected to provide any cleanup resulting from their performance, and will return the Green Room, and associated areas, to their original condition. Broken items will be charged to the Show Organizer. 10. Voodoo Comedy promotes shows via their website, mailing lists, and internal communications. However, each show is expected to fully and separately promote their individual performances at the Voodoo. Invitations for both repeat and recurring show time slots are dependent on the outcome of the individual show’s promotional efforts, and resulting audience attendance counts. 11. Setup of equipment must take place prior to house opening. In addition, performances may be taped and distributed by Voodoo Comedy. 12.
