Laugh Factory Chicago’s Verified Laughs is hitting the road for a couple special shows! One of the stops will be Denver, CO at Voodoo Comedy Playhouse! We will be performing two shows at 7PM and 8:45PM. November 10th lands on Veteran’s Day Weekend and the headliner for our show is a Veteran himself. Jamal Guichon is one of the best up and coming comedians in Chicago, you won’t want to miss this show!
The show features Headliner Jamal Guichon, host Christie Buchele, featuring Daryll Schmitz and Greg Kennedy!
Although originally from Chicago, comedian Jamal Guichon spent most of his meaningful years in Colorado, where he began his comedy career. After growing up a black nerd with a strict father and white step-mom, Jamal became a young father, Air Force Vet and two-time divorcee all before the age of 30. With lots of adventures and mishaps in between.
His distinct brand of comedy, unique life experiences and knack for story telling has made him one of Chicago’s fastest rising comedians. You will often find him around town reflecting on his life as an Air Force Vet, “re-formed” fuck boy and father to ungrateful children.
Daryll is a comic that doesn’t hide the embarrassing qualities and moments that make him who he is. Born and raised on the mean streets of small town Wisconsin, he’s quickly acclimated himself to the quiet life of Chicago. Daryll is a graduate of The World Famous Second City Training Center’s Writing and Stand-Up Programs. He is a Producer for a weekly show at the Laugh Factory called Verified Laughs, a Producer of Stray Bits, and has written a monthly sketch comedy show for Second City. This year Daryll has performed in clubs throughout the country including Las Vegas, Dallas, Denver, and The World Famous Comedy Story in Los Angeles.
Greg Kennedy has gone from scholastic and professional underachiever to well-traveled joke smith in just a short time. Audiences are hooked by his explosive energy and devil may care attitude. Starting his career in Cleveland, he has since moved to Chicago where he is one of the hosts of Stray Bits weekly and monthly shows. Greg mixes Everyman experience with the confidence of a seasoned vet, and he may not be an underachiever for much longer.
Christie Buchele is an up-and-coming standup comic from Denver, Colorado. Christie made a name for herself by the heart-wrenching and hilarious realities of being a woman with a disability. Christie has been featured on Viceland’s, Flophouse; Hidden America with Jonah Ray; and Laughs on Fox. Christie has performed at both the Crom Comedy Festival in Omaha, Nebraska, Denver’s own High Plains Comedy Festival and Hell Yes Fest in New Orleans.
