You don’t have to read to be a part of this book club!

Combined sketch and improv comedy to create a mega-involved audience space, where the audience decides where our book starts, ends, and we get to tell them what we think of their choices!

Two ladies talk about a book, except you help write it! Part scripted, part improvised, Neighborhood Book Club takes your suggestions in mad-libs style to fill in words of select pages from a book. It’s our job to take your suggestions and act them out, but it’s not all about the story; we take the narrative and use it to talk about our own lives (both real and fake) to create a twisting, reality-bending experience. From literary references to well-known TV tropes, this dynamic duo hits it all. You decide how the book starts and ends, and we decide what we think of it, judging you in the process. After all, everyone is invited to join the Neighborhood Book Club, even if the book was only written that day.
