Building on the concepts introduced in Musical Improv 101, this class will deepen your understanding of musical improvisation and prepare you for performance! In Musical Improv 201, we will cover more and different song structures; we will delve deeper into what makes an improvised song feel pre-planned; and we will experiment with different musical genres and show structures. We will also have live accompaniment for each class session. This level will culminate in a special student showcase performance with a live audience and accompanist!
Prerequisites: Musical Improv 101 or instructor approval.
