Level 101 is a class dedicated to FUN and finding yourself as an improviser. You’ll explore the core concept of “Yes, And…” and how it relates to life both onstage and offstage. You’ll discover ways to hear and enhance your inner voice. Most of all, you’ll have a BLAST!  Class sessions run six weeks, with a Student Showcase performance following the end of the session.

This class session runs 7:00 – 9:45 PM on Tuesday evenings, Tue 5/14 – Tue 6/18. Classes will be held at the Voodoo Comedy Annex space.

You will have a Student Showcase performance the week following your final class! This will take place on Sunday, June 23rd at Voodoo Comedy, 1260 22nd Street, Denver, CO 80205.

Instructor: Carrie Rush began her improv journey in 2004 while in middle school as her mother’s attempt to help with Carrie’s social anxiety (still on the fence if it worked or not!) at a local rec center.  She continued doing improv on Chatfield High School’s improv team. After living in Nebraska for 6 years for college and grad school, Carrie returned to Denver and to improv in 2014. She currently performs with Hit and Run and The Jester’s Court at Voodoo Comedy on Friday nights. Carrie’s daytime job is as an Early Childhood Educator and she is extremely passionate about play for both children and adults. Her motto is, “Find what is play to you and do it!”
