Finding Your Improv Voice w/ Holly Laurent (Mon 6/8)

This workshop is designed for improvisers who are interested in developing a stronger technique for more joyful play. The focus will be on organic play that pulls you out of your head and into more freedom, less pressure, and pure fun. We will use lecture, Q&A and personal feedback to explore simple techniques for accessing more of your unique voice and tapping into your natural play state. My goal is to get you initiating scenes with strength and developing compelling relationships and character point of view. Being a virtual workshop, we will explore some of the deep roots of your loud inner monologue, the psychology of performance and the cultural conditioning that makes you too hard on yourself. Improv is inviting you to take bigger swings and bolder risks and the stronger you start to play, the more you’ll realize you’re the one having the most fun out there on stage. Oh remember being on stage?! Sigh…
