In this 2-week course, students will learn the proper functions of various back-line support moves, how to use them, and when to use them. Being able to support your teammates in a way that elevates and honors their ideas is an essential part of being on a successful improv team. This class will give you a variety of tools to help facilitate successful scenework and push the “Every scene is everyone’s responsibility” mindset. We will learn: Tap/tag outs, the Canadian Cross/walk on, the cut-to, scene painting/add ons, the revolving door, and also how to physically support your teammates.
