Improv Comedy, Sketch Comedy, Improv Comedy Training, Karaoke and More!
Welcome to the Voodoo, Denver’s PREMIER improv comedy bar and theater! We offer the city’s most fun and unpredictable entertainment experiences in the heart of LoDo. The Voodoo is the place to enjoy a wide variety of intriguing, original improv comedy, sketch comedy, Denver improv classes, karaoke and more; a well-stocked bar; and a unique, affordable night out that you and your friends won’t soon forget.
We have been performing in Denver since 2008, with The Dinner Detective Murder Mystery Dinner Show and Hit and Run: Musical Improv. Over the years, our passion for interactive, unscripted theater grew exponentially, and we realized it was time to expand our dreams and move into our own theater space. And so, after a lot of hard work and planning, the Voodoo opened its doors on Wednesday, October 26th, 2011 for the people of Denver.
There is an amazing level of comedic talent in our city, and we are most proud to present the best shows for your approval. The amazing musical and comedic prowess of Hit and Run: Musical Improv; the brilliance of Makeshift Shakespeare… we consider all of our shows to be the cream of the comedy crop, with performers who are or soon will be known on the national stage.
We offer a fully-stocked bar for your enjoyment, as well as a technologically advanced theater setup to provide the ultimate in amusement. We are open five to six nights a week, with karaoke on Friday nights. Shows are all ages until 10:30 PM, after which the bar and theater are 21+ only.
With the Voodoo, we have made our dreams real, and we’d love to have you in for a show and a drink. See you soon!

He has performed with and studied under Michael Pollock, the musical director of Second City Los Angeles and the premier improv accompanist in the country, and Shulie Cowen, the founder and director of Opening Night: The Improvised Musical in Hollywood. Jill Bradford, Executive Producer – Jill has been onstage since the ripe age of 9. After studying theater in college and doing straight dramatic plays, musicals, and short form improv for over 25 years, she decided to experiment with long form improv. After graduating from the Grafenberg Playschool, that “experiment” has now been in process for nearly 3 years. Jill firmly believes that the study of improv is just that: an evolving process. She also believes that toe cleavage is disgusting and that bike riding makes people better.
